I’m just a girl from the West, born at the apex of the baby boom. Because of my timely entrance into the world, I’ve had a front-row seat to amazing changes in our every day use of technology and media, which seem to drive shifts in education and our culture, business and political structures.

I grew up in a university town on the foothill of a Utah mountain. The university is known for its excellence and research in applied and natural sciences, as well as its depth in humanities and fine arts. It is also a recognized university for training quality teachers, and I am proud to be a graduate. An aspiring writer, I pursued journalism, which opened doors to work in various industries. I have been a professor, a public affairs director,  a policy specialist, and an analyst. Each endeavor developed abilities to maintain relevance, adapt to new environments and articulate ways to integrate new technologies. My life’s work has touched the footprint of effective communication–in business, in education, and in sustainable efforts of energy, agriculture, aeronautics, health policy,  and housing.  I currently work in IT and Engineering, developing and extracting process that impacts the breadth and depth of a telecommunications (CLEC and Data) company. I have developed funding proposals for both technology-related non profits and private business ventures. The result was millions of dollars in funded revenue from private and public (regional, state and federal) sources.
